Becoming a CLWK Community of Practice

We are looking forward to adding new communities to CLWK!  As we are new to hosting online communities, we’re taking some time to learn how we can best support communities to provide value to our users.  Several more communities will be launched in the spring of 2014 to support projects from the two predecessor websites, Q:Exchange and  These include Critical Care, Sepsis, and PIECES.

Over next couple of months we will be collecting ideas for new communities to find out how many and what types of communities are needed.  As we learn more regarding what it takes to support a community, we will be better able to begin planning for new ones!

If you have an idea for new a new community, please contact Atoosa Moshtagh at or 604-668-8213 for more information.

New communities must be a good fit with our principles:

1. Learning & Knowledge

Communities support and promote evidence-based approaches within their sectors/disciplines. Learning and sharing information is a core value.

2. Big Picture Perspective

CLWK Communities work towards supporting provincial collaboration and learning. This includes having sponsorship and support from within BC’s health care system at a provincial level.

3. Bottom-up Sustainment

Communities have their own processes of sustaining themselves and join CLWK to expand and complement their activities.

Our team works with a representative(s) from each community to determine its online needs and support its website activities. Costs associated with modifications to the CLWK site and admin support are held by each community.
