What is CLWK?
The Connecting Learners With Knowledge (CLWK) website started as a pilot project in 2010 as an innovative method of providing wound educational resources to nurses across the province of British Columbia.
For many years CLWK was under the umbrella of the British Columbia Patient Safety Quality Council as part of its QExchange website. In 2022, the website now sits under the British Columbia Provincial Professional Practice Stream – Wound Ostomy Continence and provide provincial resources for all three care specialties.
Why use CLWK?
CLWK is a provincial repository for skin health/pressure injury prevention and wound, ostomy continence care standards of care, as well as, information on a variety of products used to support these care standards.
Within the libraries you will find guidelines, procedures, quick reference guides/posters, videos and learning modules. Many of these documents have been endorsed by your British Columbia Health Authority and can be also accessed through your Health Authority’s internal website.
Who’s involved with CLWK?
The CLWK website is managed by the British Columbia Provincial Professional Practice Stream – Wound Ostomy Continence which develops all the posted resources through its various nursing or inter-professional committees in collaboration with the Health Authority/Territory’s regional wound ostomy continence committees.
